Ceramic and glass transfer inks are specialized inks designed for high-temperature transfer printing. They create vivid, durable, and high-resolution decorative patterns on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as ceramic and glass. They also offer excellent adhesion and resistance to heat, abrasion, and weathering, making them ideal for homewares, decorative tiles, and specialty glassware. Peelable films provide temporary protection and are easy to clean and remove. They adhere securely during processing, transportation, or storage, while peeling off smoothly without leaving residue, ensuring surface integrity. Together, these materials expand applications in decorative ceramics, glass packaging, electronic displays, and protective films, where a balance of durability, clarity, and functionality is crucial.
Solvent based acrylic resins, with their unique balance of adhesion, flexibility, heat resistance, and film-forming properties, enable transfer inks to create clear, realistic, and durable images on ceramic and glass surfaces. Their excellent dispersibility ensures even pigment distribution, while their toughness and controlled film flexibility prevent cracking or tearing during transfer or peeling. In peelable films, these resins provide temporary protection and are easily and cleanly removed without leaving any residue on the substrate. These properties make acrylic resins ideal for applications requiring high-quality printing and surface protection, such as ceramic decoration, glassware, protective coatings, and packaging.
SA-524L is a good dispersibility solvent based solid acrylic resin, with its high molecular weight (160,000) and excellent flexibility, demonstrates significant advantages in ceramic peel-off thermal transfer and peelable film applications. Solvent based acrylic resin SA-524L’s glass transition temperature (Tg) of 45°C provides the material with an optimal balance of elasticity and rigidity, ensuring the integrity of the transferred pattern during high-temperature sintering while enabling easy-tear properties for peelable films. Its viscosity range of 1500-2500 mPa·s (in 40% trimethylbenzene solution) provides excellent processing fluidity, making it suitable for screen printing. Its low acid value (≤3 mgKOH/g) ensures chemical resistance, while its high dispersibility enables uniform ink film formation, making solid acrylic resin SA-524L particularly well-suited for the surface smoothness and residue-free peeling requirements of ceramic cover oils and peelable films.
